Essential research has surveyed about 1000 Australians on various beliefs about global warming.

It found 21 percent believed global warming was a hoax perpetrated by scientists, with 9% strongly believing in the statement and 12% somewhat believing, another 11 percent was not sure.

Mean climate change concern levels were highest in Victoria and Western Australia and lowest in Queensland and New South Wales.
