MANILA, Philippines – Humihingi ng karampatang panahon ang League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) upang makapaghanda sa pagpapatupad ng Alert Level System sa iba pang mga lugar sa labas ng Metro Manila.

Ito ay matapos ianunsyo ng palasyo noong Martes (October 19) na agad na ipatupad ang bagong polisiya sa mga probinsya epektibo kahapon (October 20).

Paliwanag ni LPP President at Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco Jr., kailangan nilang matiyak na maipatutupad ng maayos ang mga panuntunan sa mga Local Government Unit (LGU).

Kailangan rin aniyang tukuyin ang ilang probisyon na nakasaad sa guidelines nito na inilabas Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Kaya hiling ng mga gobernador, ipagpaliban muna ito at ipatupad na lang simula sa November 1.

“Sa parte po ng mga governors, ang hiling po namin na i-defer muna o huwag munang i-implement itong Alert Level System sa mga lalawigan sa labas ng NCR dahil biglaan at hindi pa namin nakukuha ang kopya ng resolusyon.” ani LPP President at Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco Jr.

Wala pang tugon ang palasyo kaugnay sa apila ng mga gobernador.

Ngunit sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año na kailangan nang ipatupad ang alert level system sa mga probinsya upang mapigilan ang paglaganap ng pandemya.

Ipinag-utos naman ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar sa mga provincial police offices na tiyaking well-informed ang kanilang mga tauhan sa buong bansa hinggil sa bagong sistema.

“But this will not be the reason for us to lower our guard because as the national government plans to expand the easing of restrictions beyond metro manila, I have already issued instructions to all our unit commanders to fully prepare for this in their respective areas of responsibility in order to ensure that this will not result in super spreader events.” ani PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar.
