METRO MANILA – Umaasa si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Junior na magbubunga ng investment o pamumuhunan ang paglulunsad ng Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) sa Mindanao.

Ito ang naging pahayag ng pangulo sa Malakanyang. Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos , posibleng bumaba ang singil sa kuryente sa Mindanao dahil sa WESM.

“I believe that this is a very important step and in rationalizing our power capacity, our power distribution, and hopefully with an eye also to the lowering prices of fuel in the world market that this will lead to a lower cost not only for our industrial partners but also for our household consumers” ani Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Dahil sa WESM, magkakaroon ng sentralisadong trading electricity para sa large-scale buyers at sellers.

Layon nito na magkaroon ng competitive at reliable na electricity market.

Samantala, dumalo kahapon (February 6) si Pangulong Marcos dito sa 40th Founding Anniversary ng National Kidney and Transplant Insitute (NKTI).

Dito tiniyak ng pangulo ang patuloy na suporta ng pamahalaan sa NKTI. Nagpasalamat rin ang pangulo sa mga kawani, doktor at nurses ng NKTI dahil sa kanilang mga sakripisyo lalo na gitna ng pandemya dulot ng COVID-19.
