The U.S. military on Monday flew a pair of B-1B bombers and four F-35 fighter jets in bombing drills with South Korea over the Korean Peninsula. The South Korea’s Defence Ministry said the drill is a show of force against North Korea.

The bombers flew from Guam and the fighters flew from Japan, joined by four South Korea’s F-15K fighter jets in the drill where a total of 10 bombs were dropped onto targets on a shooting range in Gangwon province.

The military drill came after Pyongyang fired another mid-range ballistic missile over Japan on Friday and the reclusive North conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test on September three in defiance of United Nations sanctions and international pressures.
