MANILA, Philippines – Posibleng bumagsak sa pinakamababang lebel ang tubig sa angat dam ngayong weekend ayon sa National Water Resources Board (NWRB).
“If the situation continues na walang significant rainfall that will come in the next couple of days based on our projection we will breach that record by the weekend” ani NWRB Executive Director Dr. Servillo David Jr.
Kaugnay nito naghain naman ng notice of force majeure ang mga water concessionaire Sa Metropolitan Water Works And Sewerage System (MWSS).
Nangangahulugan lamang iyo na hindi maaring isisi ng buo sa mga water concerssionaire ang krisis sa tubig dahil tanging ulan lamang na isang natural phenomenon ang makareresolba sa problema.
Pero ayon kay MWSS Chief Regulatory Patrick Ty, hindi iyon nangangahulugan na hindi na maaring panagutin o patawan ng multa ang maynilad at manila water.
“It depends because they have other service obligations like ive mentioned earlier the notices they have to make sure that the notices are correct and they keep their schedules, there’s also the issue of quality of water”. ani MWSS Chief Regulator Atty.Patrick Ty.
Samantala, kasabay ng pagsadsad sa critical level ng dam noong sabado, pansamantala rin munang isinara ng nwrb ang angat hydro power plant.
Kaya naman natapyasan ng two hundred megawatts na suplay ng kuryente ang luzon grid na naging dahilan kung bakit nasa yellow alert status ngayon ang luzon dahil sa manipis na reserba ng kuryente.
