METRO MANILA – Tinatayang 500 mga Pilipino na nakasakay sa MV Diamond Princess cruise ship sa Yokohama, Japan ang uuwi na sa Linggo, February 23 .
Mula sa orihinal na plano ng repatriation sa Feb. 25, napaaga ito ng 2 araw alinsunod na rin sa pakikipag-ugnayan ng pamahalaan sa Japanese authorities.
” I think the Japanese government has already decided that they’ll close down the ship so this is not for sure yet but this is not sure yet because we have been getting this information from Usec Dulay but we have to bring them out as soon as possible” ani DOH Sec Francisco Duque III.
May 2 hanggang 3 oras ang pagitan sa biyahe ng mga eroplanong mag- uuwi ng mga Pilipino mula sa Japan at lalapag sa Clark Airbase sa Pampanga.
“The exact time is being determined by DFA as they are coordinating the repatriation of not 400 but 500 Filipinos with their counterpart in Japan and with the ministry of health, welfare and labor.” ani DOH Sec Francisco Duque III.
Sa Athlete’s Village New Clark City, Tarlac rin dadalhin ang mga ito para isasailalim sa quarantine. Parehas na quarantine protocol ang susundin sa mga ito gaya ng ipinatupad sa mga repatriate mula sa Wuhan City, Hubei province China
Nakipag- ugnayan na rin ang Inter- Agency Task Force (IATF) sa Local Government Unit (LGU) ng Capas, Tarlac para sa quarantine facility na gagamitin ng mga repatriate
“The IATF already unanimously decided that the NCC will be the accusation of choice which will be temporarily used as the quarantine facility for 14 days.” ani DOH Sec Francisco Duque III.
Nilinaw ni Sec. Duque na maiiwan sa Japan ang sinoman sa mga ito na makikitaan ng sitomas upang magamot sa mga health facility doon.
