METRO MANILA – Nais ni President-elect Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. na ire-structure ang Department of Agriculture (DA) at matutukan ang mga problemang kinakaharap ng bansa sa sektor ng agrikultura.
Kaya naman inihayag ng incoming president na pamumunuan muna niya pansamantala ang DA.
‘As in agriculture I think the problem is sever enough I have decided to take the portfolio of secretary of agri for now, atleast we organize the Department of Agri to make it ready for the next years to come, marami kailangang palitan marami tayong ibat ibang opisina na hindi na masyadong hindi nagagamit o kailangan iretool para sa post pandemic” ani President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
Ayon pa kay Marcos, kabilang pa sa kaniyang magiging prayoridad ay ang pagpapataas ng produksyon ng palay.
“We will try to increase production as we come to planting period, harvest season after the, during or after the rainy season hopefully we can counteract of increases of, you may have noted that Thailand, Vietnam for example one of the main source of imported rice have decided to ban export at least for now” ani President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
Muling nagpulong kahapon ang economic team ng incoming administration.
Sinabi ni Marcos na tinalakay nila ang ilang hakbang upang matugunan ang ilang problema dulot ng Russia-Ukraine conflict at banta ng food crisis.
