METRO MANILA – Nanindigan ang Malacañang na walang kinalaman si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa isinumiteng Quo Warranto petition ni Solicitor General Jose Calida laban sa ABS-CBN.
Ayon sa tagapagsalita ng Pangulo, hinahayaan ng Punong Ehekutibo ang mga opisyal nitong gawin kung ano ang kanilang mandato.
Itinanggi rin ng opisyal na ang mga statement ng Pangulo sa mga nakalipas na pagkakataon laban sa giant network ay may kinalaman sa kahilingan ng Solgen sa supreme court na ipawalang-bisa ang legislative franchise ng ABS-CBN.
Hindi rin naniniwala ang palace official na pananaklaw sa trabaho ng Kongreso na pag-aapruba sa pagbibigay ng prangkisa ang ginawa ng Solgen.
