METRO MANILA – Tinatayang 1.6-M na bagong trabaho mula sa mga investment ang magbubukas sakaling tanggalin ang foreign economic restrictions sa bansa.
Sa isang virtual forum ng DILG, iprinisenta ni Leandro Tan ng UPPAF-RESPOND na nasa $16.2-Billion o 1.6-M na trabaho ang papasok sa bansa mula sa mga foreign investments na maaring makapagpababa sa 3.8 porsyento unemployment rate mula sa 7.1% na naitala nitong Marso, 2021.
“Other sectors such as transportation, public administration and defense, education, and other services will be reduced by 390,000 or 33%. Even family or household incomes would rise by P197 billion or Php 8,000 per family with relaxed FDI,”dagdag ni Tan.
Sang-ayon naman si DILG Undersecretary and Spokesman Jonathan Malaya na malaki ang maitutulong ng mga foreign investment sa mabilis na economic recovery ng bansa.
“This will have a significant impact on the long-term phase of our recovery solutions to beef up investments, employment, incomes, labor workforce, and other sectors greatly affected by this health crisis,” ani DILG Undersecretary and Spokesman Jonathan Malaya.
Sa kasalukuyan ay nasa ikalawang pagdinig na ng House of Representatives ang Resolution of Both Houses (RBH) No. 2 upang amyendahan ang 1987 Constitution at i-lift ang constitutional limits on foreign investments na nakapaloob sa charter.
