METRO MANILA – Posibleng tumaas pa ang bilang ng mga kaso ng  XBB subvariant at XBC variants sa Pilipinas.

Ayon kay Department of Health (DOH) Bureau of Epidemiology Director Dr.  Althea De Guzman, dahil mas mabilis ang transmission ng mga ito, wala nang magagawa sa ngayon upang limitahan ang dami nito.

Ang mahalaga na lang  ay mapanatiling mababa ang severe at critical cases maging ang mga nasasawi dito.

Sinisikap na rin ng DOH na madala sa Pilipinas ang mga bivalent vaccine para madagdagan pa ang ating proteksyon laban sa sakit.

“Possibly dadami pa ang mga kaso, its inherent they ate more transmissible. But again there’s something we can do to lessen yung mga naoospital, magiging deaths and that’s where all of the prevention advise and recommendation coming from our experts, we can change the trajectory of our cases and admissions based on what we will do now and in the future.” ani DOH-Bureau of Epidemiology Director, Dr. Alethea De Guzman.
