Kinuwestiyon ng ilang Senador ang paglipat sa ilang convicted Chinese prisoners sa Philippine Marine Compound sa Taguig City sa bisa ng isang memorandum order ng Bureau of Corrections.
Nais malaman ng mga Senador ang dahilan kung bakit inalis sa New Bilibid Prison ang mga ito at kung pumayag ba ang korte dito.
Ayon kay justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, ipinagbigay alam sa kaniya ang paglilipat sa mga preso pero aalamin muna niya kung aprubado ng korte ang naturang hakbang.
“It really depends on the specific reasons or justification for the arrangement to be made as far as I can remember the particular arrangement was done for security reasons for because I think this people are witnesses to a certain case,” ani DOJ Sec. Menardo Guevarra.
