The Department of Foreign Affairs confirms that no Filipino was hurt or killed in the recent 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Central Italy yesterday.
Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Charles Jose assures that all 25 Filipinos residing in Norcia, where the epicenter was recorded, are safe.
Jose says the embassy in Rome is awaiting full repair of roads before they evacuate our compatriots from Norcia to Rome.
Thousands of residents were left homeless after the quake and some parts of Italy still suffer from shortage of power and water supply.
