METRO MANILA – Inalerto na ng National Disaster Risk Reduction And Management Council (NDRRMC) ang kanilang mga Regional Office, at Local Government Units (LGU) ng mga maaapektuhan ng bagyo partikular na ang Regions I, II, V, VI, Mimaropa at Cordillera Administrative Region.
Ayon kay NDRRMC Spokesperson Mark Timbal, mayroong standby funds at stockpiles ng relief items ang DSWD na mahigit P1B kasama na rito ang halos 300,000 family food packs. Nakahanda na rin aniya ang mahigit sa P20M halaga ng gamot at iba pang medical supplies ng Department Of Health (DOH).
Inirekomenda na rin ng Department of the Interior and Local Government DILG sa mga apektadong LGU na magsagawa ng pre-emptive evacuation. Samantala, nagdonate ng mobile water treatment compact unit ang bansang Hungary.
Ang nasabing mobile water treatment unit ay kayang maglinis ng 2.5 hanggang 6.5 cubic meter ng tubig mula sa anomang water source at gawing inuming tubig. Nagkakahalaga ito ng 200,000 US Dollars o P10M na libreng ibinigay sa pamahalaan.
“We also have mobile water filtration equipment. Some of them were donated, some were procured. But none that of these kind of capability that can create or desalinate water from the sea and produce drinkable water.” ani NDRRMC Executive Director, Usec. Ricardo Jalad.
Nakatakda itong ipadala sa bansa sa Pebrero habang gagawin naman ang commissioning test nito sa Abril.
