Nakarating kay Pangulong Aquino ang balitang ito bago umuwi ng Pilipinas mula sa kanyang pagdalo sa dalawang araw na U-S-ASEAN Summit sa California.
Ayaw muna magbigay ng pahayag ang pangulo sa ulat dahil wala pa siyang kongkretong impormasyon.
Muli namang nanawagan ang White House sa lahat ng claimants sa West Philippine Sea na resolbahin ang territorial dispute issue sa mapayapang paraan.
“We continue to urge all claimants to clarify their territorial maritime claims in accordance with international law and to commit to peacefully manage it and resolve these disputes. Umaasa naman ni United States Secretary of State John Kerry na magkakaroon ng seryosong paguusap ang Estados Unidos at China kaugnay ng ulat na ito na pagde-deploy ng advanced surface-to-air missile system sa West Philippine Sea.
