METRO MANILA – Extended na ang voter registration ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na magtatapos sana ngayong araw, September 30.
Pero, sa October 11 pa magsisimula ang extension hanggang0october 30 ng alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-5 ng hapon.
Ito ay upang bigyang daan ang paghahain ng Certificate of Candidacy (COC) mula October 1 – 8.
“The filing of the Certificates of Candidacy will be no registration and we’ll begin on October 11 and run until October30.” ani Comelec Spokesperson, Dir. James Jimenez.
Tiniyak naman ng komisyon na lahat ng serbisyo o proseso hinggil sa pagpaparehistro ay available tulad ng reactivation, paglipat ng lugar kung saan boboto, new voters at iba pa sa mga Comelec office at mall.
“Extension will be from October 11 to 30. It will run from Monday to Friday, except Saturdays, except further than the 30th which is the last day and is also a Saturday will be open for registration. Now, very important please all registration services will be offered.” ani Comelec Spokesperson, Dir. James Jimenez
Samantala, pinalawig din ang overseas voter registration sa October 1 – 14. Hindi naman ito makakaapekto sa COC filing kahit isagawa sa naturang petsa.
Ayon sa poll body, as of September 11, 2021, mayroon nang 63,364,932 na total registered voters.
Mahigit 5 milyon ang mga bagong botante, 871,000 ang reactivation at 3.2 million naman ang nagtransfer.
Samantala, nagpapaalala naman ang Deparment of Health (DOH) na tiyaking nasusunod pa rin ang health protocols sa gitna ng registration extension.
“Align with th current protocols of our response to COVID-19 so kapag po ang event po sa tingin po natin will poroduce crowding, gathering of people, ito po ang high risk scenarios natin kami po ay nag- e-emphasize ng safety ng mga taong pupunta at mga taong magta- trabaho” ani DOH Spokesperson, Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire.
