Dumistansiya ang Malacañang sa disqualification kay Senator Grace Poe ng Commission on Elections 2nd division dahil sa isyu sa residency.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, ang desisyon ng Comelec ay mula aniya sa pagaaral na naaayon sa constitutionally-mandated functions ng COMELEC.

Naiintindihan naman aniya ng Malcanang ang hakbang ngayon ng mga abugado ni Poe na ipagpatuloy at gamitin ang lahat ng remedies para makatakbo ito sa pagkapangulo.

Ani Lacierda, ang paggalang sa batas ang ang pinakamainam pa rin na paraan para maresolba ang anumang isyu.

“Yesterday, a decision was rendered by a division of the Comelec on the candidacy of Senator Grace Poe. This decision was arrived at in the course of the constitutionally-mandated functions of the Comelec. We understand that Senator Poe’s legal counsel will pursue and exhaust all remedies available to them, as is their right in this process. We believe that sobriety and respect for the law and its processes are the best way forward for all parties concerned.” pahayag ni Lacierda.

Kahapon, Sa botong 3-0, dinisqualify ng 3- member 2nd division si Senator Grace Poe sa pagtakbo sa 2016 National Elections dahil sa isyu ng residency na inihain ni Atty.Estrella Elamparo.

Napagalamang ang tatlong commissioners na sina Al Parreño, Arthur Lim at Sheriff Abas na nagdesisyon sa disqualification ni Poe ay appointees ni Pangulong Aquino.(Jerico Albano/UNTV Radio Correspondent)
