A North Korean diplomat stresses that Pyongyang will never put its nuclear deterrence arsenal on the negotiating table.
Speaking at a U.N. sponsored conference on disarmament, Pyongyang’s Ju Yong Choi, says North Korea’s stengthening of its nuclear force is a legitimate option for self-defense in the face of threats from the United States of America.
Ju’s statement came after U.S. Disarmament Ambassador Robert Woods said in the same conference that President Donald Trump’s top priority was to protect America and its allies against the growing threat from North Korea.
Fears over North Korea’s development of nuclear weapons rose since it launched intercontinental ballistic missiles in July.
