Dozens of homes were destroyed when a tornado struck Western Oklahoma on Tuesday evening.
According to an emergency response official, as many as 70 homes in elk city were damaged by the storm.
One person was killed and it is still unclear how many people were injured.
The Elk City Police Department told residents to stay home because power lines were down across the city.
