Isinumite na kay Pangulong Benigno Aquino III ang draft Executive Order ng Salary Standardization Law na inihanda ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

Ayon kay Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., sinabi ni Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa na kasalukyan na itong inaaral ng legal staff ng Office of the President.

“According to Executive Secretary Ochoa, the draft executive order prepared by the DBM on the implementation of the first tranche of salary standardization for government employees, as provided for in the 2016 GAA, is now undergoing review by the OP legal staff.” Pahayag ni Coloma.

Laman ng executive order ang Tranche 1 o unang bigay ng dagdag na sahod ng nasa mahigit na isang milyong empleyado ng gobyerno.

Kapalit ito ng naantalang pagpasa sa panukalang Salary Standardization Law IV (SSL4).

Nauna nang ipinahayag ng DBM na ang P57.91B sa 2016 National budget ang gagamitin sa unang bigay ng dagdag na sahod ng naturang mga empleyado.
