METRO MANILA – Pumayag na umano si Presumptive Vice President Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio na maging kalihim ng Department of Education (DepEd), ayon sa kanyang katambal na si Presumptive President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.

Sa isang live press statement kagabi (May 11), sinabi ni Marcos na bagaman hindi pa siya opisyal na naipo-proklama.

Pinaghahandaan na ng kanyang kampo ang pag-a-appoint ng mga magiging miyembro ng kanyang gabinete at iba pang posisyon sa kanyang administrasyon, sa gitna ng kinakaharap na COVID-19 at economic crisis ng bansa.

“I think I am already authorized to announce the first nominee that we will be giving to the Commission on Appointments when the time comes should I be proclaimed and that is that our incoming vice president has agreed to take the brief of Department of Education. So si Inday Sara tinanong ko sa kanya kung kaya niya yung trabaho. Mahirap ang trabaho ng secretary of Department of Education pero nag agree naman siya at palagay ko kasama na diyan because she is a mother and she wants to make sure that her children are well trained and well educated that’s the best motivation that we can hope for.” ani Presumptive President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.

Ayon pa kay Marcos posibleng araw-araw na siyang humarap sa media sa mga susunod na araw para magbigay ng impormasyon sa ginagawa nilang paghahanda.
