Police in Central China’s Hunan Province intercepted a drug smuggling attempt.
Over 25 kilograms of the drug known as “ice”, or smokable methamphetamine were siezed and 18 suspects were arrested on Friday.
In cooperation with their counterparts in South China’s Guangdong Province, Hunan Police seized large batches of the illegal drug, money worth 68-thousand Yuan, four vehicles and one revolving pistol.
Police began their operations back in January after discovering that a gang had been selling drugs in Leiyang City, frequently moving between Hunan and Guangdong.
They spent months figuring out the gang’s members, transportation routes, vehicles and hideouts.
